Basic Lot Survey
BASIC LOT SURVEY. Lot surveys identify the correct boundary lines of your lot. Pins are set or found at the front and back corners of a lot and any other place where there ma be a change in direction of the line. In rural areas lot lines are often "trimmed" to provide the owner with a line of sight for their boundaries. A drawing called a Certificate of Survey showing the results of the survey is then produced. If there are any encroachments (such as the neighbor's garage crossing the lot line), they are mapped and shown on the drawing. If the lot has a water boundary, this is also mapped and shown on the drawing.
